Say It Differently: Other Ways to Phrase a Translation · Watch on YouTube

After any translation in AI Watch Translator, Say it differently offers other ways to put it: tap a single word to swap it, or rephrase the whole sentence in the tone you need. Each option shows what it means in your own language, so you can tell them apart.

How do you change one word?

  1. Tap the word in the translation.
  2. Pick a replacement from the list. Each one comes with its meaning in your language.
  3. Changed your mind? The original is one undo away.

How do you rephrase the whole sentence?

Tap Rephrase under the translation for other natural ways to say it. Then pick a tone: Casual, Formal, Simpler, or Easier to say when pronunciation matters more than precision.

Why does formal matter?

Many languages have two words for "you": du and Sie in German, tu and vous in French. Using the casual one with a stranger, or the formal one with a friend, sounds off. Where your target language has both forms, the tone buttons show which one each choice uses.

Is it free?

Say it differently is part of Premium, bought in the iPhone app through the App Store.

Q: Does it work offline? A: On iPhones with Apple Intelligence it can run on the device. Otherwise it needs a connection.

Q: Is what I translate stored? A: No. Alternatives are not stored and not used for training. See the privacy policy.

Q: Can I change a single word without rewriting the sentence? A: Yes. Tap the word and pick a replacement.
